I usually don't say stuff like this (as most of you here know), but in this particular case, if you're so inclined, please share this piece far and wide! It's the culmination of a month of work, and I'd love for Chiefs fans who don't know about this place to see it and get a preview of what they're missing haha.

These have been a lot of fun to read. Thank you very much for the thought and effort you put in to this. I see it and applaud you. It is incredible the amount of things you are responsible for and you still find the time to put together quality like this. On behalf of myself and hugh we say Great Work!

You're a hero for grinding through all that tape Seth! Really enjoyed this series and can't wait for the draft now (would definitely second the double dipping strategy with a class so deep).

I like Thomas but really don't like trading up for non-QBs. Does it work out sometimes? Of course but history says it's best not to because people aren't that great at evaluating draft picks. Multiple picks>1 pick. Chiefs will always need as many picks as possible with the big contracts on the books. See also: Tyreek Hill trade

This was spectacular work. Truly excellent stuff. This article alone is worth my annual subscription. Kudos, sir.

My dream scenario: grab Mitchell in the first round (praying he is available). Polk falls deep into the second because teams are afraid of his mediocre RAS numbers and we grab him even if we need to trade up a bit to get him OR grab Pearsall or McConkey at #64. Re-sign DSmith cheap at OT and watch Morris develop into a starting LOT by mid-season. Then, Three-peat.

That’s not too much to ask, is it? If it is, and it may well be, blame Seth’s WR kool-aid I have been drinking! Seriously, great work Seth!

Terrific work and great series! And I completely agree with your assessment—which means it has no chance of happening!

Great stuff, Seth! I am a "go get Thomas" guy, but regardless of his availability, I want a WR in round 1 - any of your Tier two guys. Trade up to get the OT Patrick Paul, or Kingsley in Rnd 2. Then go get DT T'Vondre Sweat in Rnd 3. I would be happy with a IOL in Rnd 3 as well. It's been a long wait, I can't wait until tomorrow!

Trade up for a Tackle. Take whoever falls at 64.

🥇Fantastic Read! Definitely sharing!

As you may or may not of seen today's X post, out of 19 years worth of first round draft picks , only 27% of wide receivers selected get 2nd contracts by the team that selected them or elsewhere. That's the lowest percentage of any position.

Meanwhile, The Lions reached a deal today on WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He gets 4 years and more than $120M with $77M guaranteed.

St. Brown was drafted in the fourth round, 112th overall in the 2021 draft. Has over 3500 yards and 21 touchdowns in only 3 years.

6ft, 200lbs, 4.59 forty and he only had one great year in college.

Not a big trade up guy, but after last year, I think KC can do just about anything because Mahomes will drag them through the playoffs if he has to.

Say Xavier Worthy (or any of the Tier 2 guys, take your pick) is there at 32. Is there a CB or OT that has a chance to fall to 32 and force Veach to let Worthy go?

How does the Amon-Ra St. Brown contract impact the draft? I'm thinking it puts pressure on grabbing rookie (cheap) wide-out talent -- a bit of a run just 24 hours before the draft opens -- so everybody goes earlier and it costs more to trade up. Thoughts?

Good work, Seth. Mitchell and Lagette it is. From what you wrote, I'd be surprised if Thomas doesn't go well above what draft picks the Chiefs can offer up.

Now watch Veach draft a DE at pick 26 just to hurt you once more.
