Thank! I think it helps give one time to see what is happening a little more clearly. Football moves so fast at the NFL level that it's easy to miss stuff!
NFL Network wished America's fathers a very happy day with four Patrick Mahomes games. Fusing that glory with Seth's outstanding article was the 1st touchdown pass to Travis Kelce. It was a rocket that sent Kelce into the end zone and was enough behind him that the Steeler's safety couldn't get a hit on him. Velocity plus ball placement gave us a touchdown and a healthy Travis Kelce. It was a great play in dissecting a Steeler's zone that had confounded us in the past.
I remember that throw very clearly, as well as that entire game. It was so clear how good he was going to be from his very first start, but that game was the "whoa, things are completely different now" moment for me. As you said, PIT's defense had been a real problem for KC under Reid. And Mahomes just torched it.
Great stuff, as always, Seth. Love the slow-mo GIFs. Can't wait for the rest of the series!

I don’t recall seeing ball speed in any of the NFL advanced stats, which is surprising. I’d love to see that info.
I absolutely agree. I'm not sure why it's not available, but I hope they remedy that at some point.
