Thanks Seth! I have really enjoyed the newsletter, and can't wait for part II of the Mahomes article. I was a little hesitant to pay for another subscription service, but you have made it well worth the $12 (i.e. two cups of coffee[if I was still buying coffee at a coffee shop]).
Between this and The Athletic, I feel like I got a couple of bargain basement deals. I wish I could say the same about the KC Star--but I'm still supporting local journalism, so yay for me?
It is really good that someone like myself who lives in the United Kingdom can access such high quality Chiefs content for £10 a year. It just goes to show that there is demand for high quality, paid for journalism. Coupled with my subscription to The Athletic I am well covered for Chiefs, wider NFL and even some good English football related content. The good thing is that you write well, are really passionate and like Nate, seem a really good guy as well. I hope it all continues to go well.
You are the best ! It is more blessed to give rather than receive and you exemplify this wonderfully. I know you are not doing this for great profit , but with your attitude and who you are and Who you believe in , I predict this will be wildly successful for you and your family. Today is my first day and I have already posted 3 comments. One last thing , everyone that have posted appear so nice. A great blessing to read nice comments as well ! Thanks
Thanks for doing this. Three observations/requests...
I hope this site can avoid politics. I get enough of that in the rest of my life.
Hopeful the comments can be constructive and respectful. I subscribe to The Athletic and am weary of the volume of snarky and disrespectful posts.
Please raise your subscription rate. Seriously! You have a young family to support and your work is worth far more than $12/year. I consider the $60 I pay for The Athletic a great deal. This site is certainly worth that or more.
Oh, and it wouldn’t bother me if you periodically had an open forum for us to all share our favorite dining locations in the Cowtown we love. Always looking for new opportunities to add to the waistline when I get home to K. C.! Curious to know your favorites.
Well, I plan on writing about whatever I feel like writing about. That's almost never going to include actual politics, but it may include the way people approach such things in terms of mindset and kindness, etc.
As far as the increased price, IF you want there's an option to subscribe for a higher rate. :)
I'll try to remember that for something about BBQ. It's a favorite thing of mine as well!
As pharaoh always directed in “The Ten Commandments”, “So let it be written; so let it be done!“ I couldn’t see how to pay more so I just bought a gift subscription for my cousin. So what will the CITN Supporters Club get him; a lunch date with you at Joe’s and a slab ‘o ribs?! (You’ll like him; very funny guy!)

Jokes aside, thanks for the kind words! I'm very, very excited about what has happened so far, and appreciate your support!
So aprox $5 bucks a cup after taxes plus a buck for tip
Bet it's delicious though, and good on you for tipping!

I appreciate the support! FWIW, I have a lot of respect for a lot of the folks at the Star.
Oh, please don't misunderstand, I am in awe of those who are still striving to provide quality local journalism under the circumstances. Tough gig.
Indeed it is! Lots of external pressures. That's one reason I started this!

Hey, that's a lot of kind words! Thanks so much for following along, and I can absolutely confirm that Nate is one of the best people out there!
Glad to hear it's working out so w

I really appreciate the kind words, though I'm not sure I necessarily deserve them! I've been pretty happy with the comment section too :)
