I would love to add him to the chiefs roaster as a complement to Rice and Brown. Especially his ability against man would give the offense a new dimension
Brett Kollman did a video and the first thing he said was "Don't let KC get this guy."
He also pointed out that he runs most of his routes at a single speed, meaning that all his cuts and breaks don't slow him down.
I've also seen people say a special things guys like Jamar Chase, and Antonio Brown do/did is run their routes and it doesn't look like they're doing anything overly athletic, but DBs just bite hard and they get open. That's what it feels like watching Mitchell.
Adding to this regarding AD athletic ability. At the Combine He said in an Interview that he purposefully didn't ran his routes at full speed because he wanted to perfekt the nuances first and that this would be the reason His athletic ability wouldn't necessary show on tape
Well-written, and I would be thrilled if Adonai Mitchell fell to us (or we traded up to get him) in the first round. But what I hate about draft coverage after winning the Super Bowl is, we will pretty much always get our hearts broken.
Does anyone really think 31 teams will pass on a WR with a 9.97 RAS and let him fall into Patrick Mahomes' orbit? No chance. This especially true of guys like Adonai, a consensus #29 who would basically solve the Chiefs X receiver problems for 5 years. The ~7 teams ahead of us (i.e. our competitors) would all demand a king's ransom to let the Chiefs move up, even a few slots.
Frankly, I'd rather be looking at 2nd round rated WRs who we have a chance in hell of drafting...
I completely understand, the one thing to keep in mind though is that there are a TON of highly rated guys in this draft. Someone out of Thomas, Franklin, or Mitchell is likely to fall to the Chiefs.
Sure, but I'll bet a dollar it's Franklin (i.e. the guy who isn't the exact X receiver that the Chiefs need, because of his body type being more slight of frame/not suitable for absorbing hits from linebackers and safeties), not Thomas or Mitchell (who would both be absolutely perfect for us). I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.
This was great, Seth. I would find it helpful if you would rank the college receivers you review against last year's WR room in KC. Because I don't know the first thing about college football but I am way too familiar w/the Chiefs' wideouts.
Imagine if, by some strange miracle, we were able to draft him, and both Moore AND Toney find the "I get it" switch...yeah, I know...not going to happen. But dreams are fun.
Seth, can you please look into what the Chiefs have as options for the TE room? Honestly, it's becoming a bigger concern for me as father time could be a jerk to Kelce.
Fantastic, as always! I’m looking forward to the upcoming write-ups- however many you get to. It will be very interesting to see if the Chiefs will draft a WR and if they’ll have to move up to get their guy.
You may have inspired me to sit down at my computer and write a new installment of Chiefs Chronicles, covering some of my offseason/draft thoughts. Let’s see if your great Chiefs content is more powerful than my lack of drive/energy/motivation…😂🤔

Absolutely the most thorough review I've read on the guy. I'd be fine if we got him and several are predicting him to us, which generally means we won't 🤣.
I'd seriously consider trading of our picks except our two 5th rounders to the Chargers and take Joe Alt with their 5th overall pick. Somebody that could protect Mahomes blindside for 10 years would be priceless.
That's not going to happen but, we need a good left tackle so, I'd be fine if that's the way we went with pick 32.
However, we seriously need to be looking at TIght Ends .
Other than Brock Bowers which is probably gone, are there any TIght ends worth pick 32?
Although there has been some disagreement on his fit with KC, I'm not sure what's not to like about this guy. He's a great athlete and a pretty polished route runner, and I'd be extremely pleased if we got him in the first round this year.
I'd prefer him over his over hyped teammate TBH and I understand why people like Worthy. Even though I don't see the league letting him fall to the Chiefs I wanna see Ladd in a Chiefs uniform come training camp, although Adonai would be a sweet consolation prize. Thanks for the write up Seth.
Great write up. Do any current NFL receivers come to mind as a comp for him?
I've been thinking about that. I try to be cautious about such things for fair of creating an unreasonable expectation, but I'll ponder it!
Please say CeeDee Lamb….only if he falls to 32

Now do Amegadjie OT Yale
I'm just one man!
Seth, I’m pretty sure I pay you North Korean wages. So……. How does a dead line of April 1st sound

Oh I heard that. I forgot it was him that said that

Am I crazy or is there a clip of a Georgia receiver in this article???
In 22 Mitchell played for Georgia. He transferred to Texas this past year
hahaha he played in Georgia in 2022!

That's almost impossible to do, unfortunately. Can't compare a pro "traits" projection to what a guy is currently doing in the league.
With God, all things are possible. Or are you discounting what the Lord can do in your life?
hahahahahaha

Well hot damn, I had no idea. Thanks for filling me in. Learn something new everyday. Appreciate it 😁
Appreciate you!

I see what Dan harms said about him if he's not prime target he dogs it
Very good, Seth.
Qu stion: do college WRs block? If so, how is Mitchell on the block?
