ANNOUNCEMENT - Introducing "Only Weird Games" with Josh Brisco, Nate Taylor, and Myself

The Time's Ours crew is sticking together and joining forces with the Kansas City Sports Network!

When Time’s Ours recorded its last episode several weeks ago, many of you reached out and said some of the kindest things that have ever been said to us in this job. A lot of you shared your stories and talked about why the podcast meant something to you, the same way it meant something to each of us. And that matters. Because at the end of the day, as much as I love talking Chiefs, I love Nate and Josh more. And I believe that friendship came through in the podcast and is what many of you enjoyed as much as football.

A lot of you also asked what was next for the three of us. Well, the short answer was we weren’t sure at the time. But now, we are. If you didn’t see it announced on Twitter (X?) already…

I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to announce the start of “Only Weird Games,” featuring Josh, Nate, and myself… as part of the

KC Sports Network

!

Only Weird Games will be coming at you twice a week, and will include all the fun and Chiefs football you’ve come to expect.

But we’ve not only come back to life… we’ve upgraded (because if we’re going to work with BJ Kissel and company, it’s only right to try and kick things up a notch). We are now a live-recording video podcast twice a week. And here’s the inaugural episode!

(Right? RIGHT?????)

So here’s the breakdown… twice a week, Only Weird Games will be coming at you. We’ll be recording live on Tuesdays and Thursdays (with some exceptions for Thursdays if there’s a Chiefs game to be played, like… oh, IDK, next week. On those weeks, we’ll be doing Fridays) at 4:30 Arrowhead time.

We’d love for each and every one of you to join and watch us try to keep our composure now that we can actually see each other (and your comments live) and the distractions are compounded (and maybe help us form some Only Weird Games bingo cards).

I cannot tell you how much the support all of you have provided to the show over the last four years means, and I can’t wait to get back to work with two people that I care deeply about. And as a bonus, I get to work with old friends from my Arrowhead Pride days like BJ, Kent, Craig, and Matt and join up with a company that is trying to effect change in sports coverage. It truly doesn’t get better than this.

Our hope is to provide you with analysis that you can’t get anywhere else, along with a window into what our industry is really like and a seat at the table with three people who care about each other as they go through the ebbs and flows of talking about a team they all love (and just life in general). We want to not just continue the tradition of Time’s Ours, but build on it to something even bigger and better for you as a listener/viewer.

In an industry that’s ultimately a business, you doing those things matters much more than you know, and it allows us to continue to create fun stuff together!

I wish I had the words to tell you all how much your support for the podcast (and this website) has meant to me. I can’t wait to see what happens next. All I know is that it’ll be a lot of fun, and make it an even better season to be a Chiefs fan.
